My Heart is in Oregon

Oregon is my home and I spent most of my

life looking for it. The first moment I saw the

Owyhee Mountains, heading west on I-84

out of Boise, I said "That must be Oregon.”

Unemployed, exhausted of benefits, zero job prospects, I sat outside on a cold, wet morning in Portland Oregon enjoying a hot cup of coffee.  I pondered my future and wondered what the hell I was going to do. For a moment, I though I would have to leave Oregon for “greener pastures.”

That was when I said, “What the hell am I saying? Oregon is my home.  I'm not going anywhere.  I love it here, my heart is here.  My heart is in Oregon.“

That night in 2003, I started a dream and created my first sticker. The dream continues with these stickers

Now, I encourage folks to live their dream, follow their heart till you find home.

A Community of U.S.
A search for U.S, one state at a time

A community of U.S. is an American dream. For some time, I have struggled with calling myself American, even though I was born and raised.

Then on 2/20/2008, while viewing the lunar eclipse, the words “…and the home of the brave.” from The Star Spangle Banner, made me want to change.

So I created stickers for people who love their home. So I could - we could - talk about how we love our homes and our dreams.

By the way, it was Jimi Hendrix’s version of The Star Spangle Banner.
